Tornado Guard Storm Shelters

"On May 20, 2013 the tornado that devastated Moore, Oklahoma came within two miles of my house.  My wife and four kids were ready to take shelter in my Tornado Guard shelter.  Fortunately, we didn't have to.  I could see the tornado from my back porch and watched as it approached but then it began to move away."

"Having a tornado shelter gives my family great peace of mind.  I had my shelter installed in the fall of 2012.  Prior to having a shelter installed, a tornado came much closer to my house in 2011.  At that time we had no choice but to get in our car and drive away.  Trying to drive out of harms way proved to be a poor means of protection."

"My Tornado Guard shelter is carpeted and we opted to have the accessory box installed as well.  So, we have cable t.v., phone, two 110V outlets, a ventilation fan and an alarm in the shelter.  The alarm is wired to the exterior of my house which may get damaged or destroyed in the event of a tornado hit but, we had it installed anyways.  We keep bottled water, non-perishable food, flashlights, two air horns, a whistle, blankets and some clothes in it just in case we are ever trapped in there for any length of time."

"Chris was very helpful with the purchase and installation of the shelter.  We had many questions and Chris was very helpful."

The new shelter that you now offer looks pretty cool.  I like the built-in steps.  I like the area for people to sit with a place for their feet to go, but I also like how the one that I have is basically flat on the inside.  We have it carpeted with a tv in it so it is pretty comfortable to kick-back in while I am in there.

"Just a short note to let you know we made it to our storm shelter with about 3 seconds to spare on March 2 as an EF-3 tornado hop-scotched through our subdivision and whizzed by our house at 9:20 a.m. on March 2, 2012 in E. Limestone (County) Alabama.  It was over in just five seconds and our house, fortunately, caught a glancing blow (~$45K damage).  Our neighbors were less lucky; many virtually to totally destroyed.  Thankfully, no one was even scratched!  We are still living in a local motel for about another week before sufficient repairs can be completed to allow electricity to be re-hooked.  It's harrowing to go through one of these monsters of nature, but we were truly grateful that we had the safety of one of your shelters.  It's paid for itself in spades to say the least.  Thanks again for your life-saving product. "Our shelter is installed and complete.  Our young kids keep asking each night if we are having a tornado because they want to get in the Tornado Guard!  Thanks for a fine product." – Texas

MYTH: Areas near rivers, lakes, and mountains are safe from tornadoes.

FACT: No place is safe from tornadoes. In the late 1980's, a tornado swept through Yellowstone National Park leaving a path of destruction up and down a 10,000 ft. mountain.  Read More @ the Learning Center »
